Ascension Ref. (formerly Westside Ref.) is beginning the first phase of the remodel using the funds that it has received/in account. RMS is assisting with some of the demo and other finish work for that phase. RMS also has opportunity to help with other work to help with phase two and three of the project. Any amount raised from this point will be used for finishes of phase two and three.

Key updates include:

• Demolishing an unnecessary school building in the back to save costs and create space for a children's playground and outdoor seating. 
• Removing a ceiling filled with asbestos in the fellowship hall, which will involve updating the ductwork, electrical, and lighting to modernize the facility.

MeRF is raising funds to be used as a down payment to purchase a facility in Manhattan, NY. Without money for a down payment, property owners and their realtors do not entertain requests to view properties in NYC. Having funds available for a down payment will open the door to such conversations with the hopes of securing a facility to call ‘home’ for the congregation. Having their own facility will enable MeRF to undertake more evangelistic endeavors, hold training sessions for future church planters, mid-week activities, Bible studies, etc.

RMS is expanding by God’s grace and would like to construct a facility to house its operations. However, there is more to this project than a facility for RMS. We hope to build a facility that will create office and storage space for other reformed organizations at little or no cost to these ministries. It would also have a space for visiting Missionaries and Church planters to work while they are in the W. MI area. The preliminary cost for this project was determined to be $800,000. USD. This church was built in the early 1900s without accommodations for handicapped persons. Recently the church purchased the property next door and are hoping to repurpose it! Funds and volunteers are needed. Reach out to Rob for more info about volunteering. Click here to learn more.

In cooperation with NAPARC Denominations PCA, RPCNA, and OPC, RMS is planning to assist the Japan Presbyterian Mission denomination with 14 projects around the island. The presented cost for all of these projects is

$29,000.00.

This project is to cover the costs for HTS students who are studying abroad, mainly in Africa and the Philippines. The funds will supply each study station with reliable internet for $40-$50/month per station, approx. $5,000/year) and for qualified students, access to the LOGOS Bible Software ($100 per student, average 20 students/year, approx. $2,000/year). Any additional funds raised would help provide computers and screens for the students and expenses incurred for the national coordinator, living in the Philippines. Total funds needed, $7,000.00+ USD

Ingelsia de la Grua: Where we’re helping to build a completely new church building from the ground up. This church will serve as a vital space for worship, fellowship, and community outreach, making a lasting impact on the area. Cost $15,000

Church in San Mateo: Requires a new roof due to termite infestation in the trusses. The replacement involves changing the metal roof to a concrete one, totaling $14,200.

There are two parts to this proposal, the second part you will see is multifaceted.

1. The purchase of an adjacent lot to the one that has been purchased by the men of the church and Brother José Ramirez. Cost for this property (12m X 25m) is $15,000 (USD).

2. The next phase is the purchase of materials for the structures that are proposed in the description above. The hope is to have teams go and work with the local people to keep the labor costs down. Total Cost, TBD.

In association with members of the RCUS, we’re undertaking a significant renovation for a church located about 200 miles south of San Diego, CA. This property, currently includes a church, a parsonage, and a radio station. RMS is planning to assist in the construction of a seminary, student apartments, a library, and a new church building on this site.

Esau Reyes proposes that we help this congregation with the project. It is a two-story building where the sanctuary will be on the second floor. The total cost for this project is $125,000. The local church is contributing $25,000 leaving a balance of $100,000 for completion. This work can be done in phases as donation are received.

Pampa Corral - A new roof and a small addition to the existing building. Cost - $5,600.00

Qelqena - Construct a New one-story building made from cement and blocks. Cost - $12,200.00

Tambohuaylla - Construct a New one-story building made from cement and blocks. Cost - $12,200.00

Picchu - Finishes to the second floor of the church. Cost - $1,800.00

TicaTica - New foundation and structure. Challenges due to the irregular elevations which need footings and columns to support a floor that will begin the church building construction above. When completed, it will serve as a crawl space or basement (unfinished). Cost - $23,500.00

This project, recommended by Esau Reyes, is a remodel of an existing facility creating classrooms and space for a dining area. Esau recommends sending $1,000.00 USD to assist them with this project.

This project would be to construct a parsonage for the pastor of the church located in Villahermosa, Mexico. The team that would go there would also attempt to make some improvements to the current church building. The church has already purchased the lot and is awaiting funds and volunteers to perform the construction on the project. It is a very reformed Church. The costs would not exceed $30,000 USD.

This is a new project that was proposed by a student from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary who was referred by other students associated with the Bhaktapur Theological Seminary. He has also been endorsed by Rev. Anup Hiwale (longtime friend of many and director of Prince of Peace Center in Dehradun, India) as a viable cause. DHBS desires to be an accredited school in India to the Nepalese speaking people in the region as well as southeastern Nepal. To achieve this, there are certain requirements for the facilities that must take place in order to achieve that accreditation.  A third floor to the Logos Building for a conference hall for seminars and events . This fulfills the requirement to have a classroom large enough to hold the student body at the DHBS. The phase will also include washrooms and other items to complete the construction of the building. Costs for this phase is $40,000 (USD).

On June 21st and 22nd, Northwest Iowa faced a catastrophic disaster as severe flooding ravaged the region. The aftermath has left over 1900 homes impacted, Learn more here.

We are thrilled to announce that we only need to raise $20,000 more to purchase land in Los Cuadros, where  a new church building and parsonage can then be constructed. This new location promises a safer environment than the current one, and it will provide greater visibility within the city. We believe that this new location will have a profound and positive impact on the surrounding community.

Ministry Center: Funds were sent down to purchase 15 more bunk beds and 18 mattresses to replace the termite-infested wooden ones. They were also able to replace 10 wooden bathroom doors and 4 wooden bedroom doors with metal ones.

Nagua Church: Needs finishes for the building, including floor tiles, windows, doors, and security bars for the windows, with an estimated cost of $3,150.00. We are happy to report that most of the funds have been raised for this project!

Church in Batey Nuevo: Funds were received and used to construct a women’s bathroom, as well as to add windows and doors to the church.

This project is completed!

Funds were successfully raised for the Evangelical Church - Jesus Christ, Eternal King, in San Pedro, Sucre, Colombia, to purchase the necessary materials for constructing their worship sanctuary.

Additionally, funds were raised for Prince of Peace Church in Cicuco Bolivar, Colombia, to install a ceiling and metal doors for their existing facility.

$50,000 was raised to help with constructing a parsonage on a church-owned property in Campeche, MX.  We  had a team go there to help with the construction in March of 2024. View Photos of that trip! 

In the Huancaro district of Cusco, Peru, a church was built where RMS was able to work alongside members of the congregation on this project in December of 2022. Funds were used to enclose the building that was started. There are photos from our 2022 trip which can be seen here.

We are pleased to announce that all $12,000 have been successfully received! These funds are integral to finalizing the third floor, designated for their established after-school tutoring program. Upon completion, this expansion will eliminate the need for rent on their current facility, enabling them to extend support to more students in their learning journey and offer medical check-ups for children in the community, including Venezuelan refugees. $20,000 was raised to complete this building. Funds for windows and doors, plaster/stucco, paint, and flooring has been sent for as well as funds to hire local workers to complete this project. Learn more and see photos here!

We have raised the funds needed to remodel the house of the pastor in this local church. The work involved upgrading the kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, and applying a sealant to the cement roof. View some of the photos here.

Funds were raised to replace the earthen floor with a wooden floor and to improve the roof of this church in Peru. The cost for this project was $2,800 This is near the work we have done in HuacaHuasi.
